As a McLaren Certified Master Technician, you will play a crucial role in leading our team of technicians, providing expert-level diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services to McLaren vehicles. Your comprehensive knowledge of McLaren systems and unparalleled expertise will contribute to the overall success of our service center and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Technical Expertise:
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support.
- Utilize your extensive knowledge of McLaren vehicle systems to diagnose and repair complex issues efficiently.
- Serve as a technical resource for the team, providing guidance and assistance on challenging repairs and diagnostics.
2. Diagnostics and Repairs:
- Perform advanced diagnostics on McLaren vehicles, utilizing manufacturer-specific tools, software, and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct complex repairs and maintenance services on McLaren vehicles, ensuring the highest level of workmanship and adherence to McLaren's standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, utilizing problem-solving skills and advanced diagnostic techniques.
3. Maintenance and Service:
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance services on McLaren vehicles, including comprehensive inspections, fluid replacements, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with McLaren's maintenance schedules and recommended service intervals to maintain optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
4. Electrical and Mechanical Systems:
- Proficiently diagnose and repair advanced electrical and mechanical systems in McLaren vehicles, including wiring, sensors, modules, and complex components.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and software to identify and address electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in McLaren's electrical and mechanical systems through ongoing training and professional development.
5. Parts and Component Installation:
- Lead the accurate identification and installation of McLaren-specific parts and components, ensuring proper fitment and functionality.
- Collaborate with the Parts Advisor to ensure accurate parts procurement, availability, and timely delivery.
- Utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and electronic resources to ensure correct installation and compliance with McLaren's standards.
6. Quality Assurance and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough quality checks on completed repairs and services to ensure the highest level of workmanship and compliance with McLaren's standards.
- Document all services, repairs, and diagnostic findings accurately and comprehensively, using dealership software and reporting tools.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of completed work, including descriptions, parts used, labor hours, and test results.
7. Training and Development:
- Stay updated on the latest technical information, service bulletins, and repair procedures provided by McLaren.
- Attend and participate in advanced training sessions, workshops, and seminars offered by McLaren to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Share your expertise and knowledge with fellow technicians, providing mentorship and support to enhance the technical competency of the team.
