- We are expanding the ESG/ Sustainability practice which helps organizations improve their corporate sustainability management as well as support organizations in developing their strategies to specific sustainability challenges. Our goal is to help our clients understand and respond to sustainability trends that are driving changes in markets, regulations, and technologies.
- Our work ranges from supporting the development of strategy, management, and reporting to helping clients resolve implementation challenges in areas such as climate change, ethical supply chain management, sustainable finance, decarbonization, human rights, economic development, net-zero commitments, corporate citizenship, and other emerging areas.
We do what matters!
This is the job for you if you have:
- Minimum 8 years of experience within related disciplines with at least 5+ years of Sustainability advisory, assurance and/ or verification experience.
- Relevant experience working inside a company or as an external consultant on ESG/ sustainability projects. For example:
- Experience in establishing sustainability development strategies.
- Experience in Sustainability Reporting/ advisory based on the following frameworks - UNGC, GRI, UN Principles for Responsible Banking, UN Principles for Responsible Investment, TCFD, SASB, etc.
- Experience in DJSI,CDP and other rating agencies reporting/ advisory a plus.
- Experience in Sustainable Finance.
- Experience in Human Right Assessment and Gender Equality research and reporting.
- Understanding and working knowledge of the following concepts and frameworks - Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Integrated Reporting (IR), International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Task Force on Climate Related Disclosures (TCFD), UN Sustainably Development Goals (SDGs), United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), Environment and Social Governance (ESG), Occupational Health and Safety Frameworks (OSHA, OSHAD), Social Return on Investment (SROI) or equivalent, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental & sustainability studies or other relevant discipline.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (spoken and written Arabic is an advantage).
- Strong communication and presentation capability.
- Ability to thrive in an international and multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the ESG&S team to deliver advisory and assurance projects.
- Help raise KPMG Bahrain’s profile in the ESG&S field among businesses and government regulatory bodies.
- Educate client's senior management on the value of ESG&S.
- Identify CC&S business opportunities.
- Help develop business plan, pitches and engagements - support the team with developing new propositions, actively build a network in Bahrain, respond to RfPs/ tenders.
- Partner with KPMG’s ESG&S regional and global network where necessary.
- Help build a strong ESG&S team, including deliver training to staff in sustainability reporting and assurance.

- - خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات في التخصصات ذات الصلة مع ما لا يقل عن 5 سنوات من الخبرة في استشارات الاستدامة و/أو الضمان و/أو التحقق.
- الخبرة ذات الصلة بالعمل داخل شركة أو كمستشار خارجي في مشاريع ESG / الاستدامة. على سبيل المثال:
- خبرة في وضع استراتيجيات التنمية المستدامة.
- خبرة في إعداد تقارير / استشارات الاستدامة بناءً على الأطر التالية - UNGC، GRI، مبادئ الأمم المتحدة للخدمات المصرفية المسؤولة، مبادئ الأمم المتحدة للاستثمار المسؤول، TCFD، SASB، إلخ.
- خبرة في DJSI وCDP ووكالات التصنيف الأخرى التي تقدم التقارير/الاستشارات ميزة إضافية.
- خبرة في التمويل المستدام.
- خبرة في تقييم حقوق الإنسان والبحث وإعداد التقارير حول المساواة بين الجنسين.
- الفهم والمعرفة العملية بالمفاهيم والأطر التالية - مبادرة إعداد التقارير العالمية (GRI)، إعداد التقارير المتكاملة (IR)، الفريق الدولي المعني بتغير المناخ (IPCC)، فرقة العمل المعنية بالإفصاحات المتعلقة بالمناخ (TCFD)، أهداف التنمية المستدامة للأمم المتحدة (SDGs). ، الاتفاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة (UNGC)، البيئة والحوكمة الاجتماعية (ESG)، أطر الصحة والسلامة المهنية (OSHA، OSHAD)، العائد الاجتماعي على الاستثمار (SROI) أو ما يعادله، وما إلى ذلك.

المهام الأساسية:
- مساعدة فريق ESG&S لتقديم المشاريع الاستشارية والضمان.
- المساعدة في رفع مكانة شركة كي بي إم جي البحرين في مجال الحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية والحوكمة (ESG&S) بين الشركات والهيئات التنظيمية الحكومية.
- تثقيف الإدارة العليا للعميل حول قيمة المعايير البيئية والاجتماعية والحوكمة (ESG&S).
- تحديد الفرص التجارية لـ CC&S.
- المساعدة في تطوير خطة العمل والعروض التقديمية والمشاركات - دعم الفريق بتطوير مقترحات جديدة، وبناء شبكة في البحرين بشكل فعال، والاستجابة لطلبات العروض/المناقصات.
- الشراكة مع شبكة ESG&S الإقليمية والعالمية التابعة لشركة KPMG عند الضرورة.
- ساعد في بناء فريق قوي للمعايير البيئية والاجتماعية والحوكمة (ESG&S)، بما في ذلك تقديم التدريب للموظفين في مجال إعداد تقارير الاستدامة وضمانها.
