Job Summary:
- We are hiring for DB Administrator who has a deep understanding and hands-on technical experience mainly in Microsoft SQL DB and Server administration , Oracle DB Admin is preferred .
- The DBA expert works as a team member along with the IT Applications Operations General Manager supporting the team members to deliver the complete solution of Vendor Management for the customer.
Technical Skills:
- SQL server database installation and configuration.
- SQL server Patching and upgrade,
- Build high availability using both methods Failover cluster and Always On availability Group
- Performance and Tuning.
- Backup and recovery of the databases
- migration of SQL databases
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of database issues
- Scheduling, Monitoring and Troubleshooting SQL Agent Jobs/Autosys Maintenance Jobs & Maintenance Plans.
Responsibilities:
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Acting as a second level support to perform, and maintenance client’s infrastructure
- Provide day-to-day support and carry out incidents to meet the prescribed
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Proactively detect problems and conduct diagnostics to deliver quality service
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Continuously identify and document lessons learn, preventive actions, and operational knowledge for improved services.
- Participation in the 24x7 on-call role to maintenance activities after business hours or during weekends when it is needed.
- Keeping up to updates and patches related to Microsoft SQL DB and performing necessary upgrades as per recommendations.
- Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
- Install and evaluate new versions of the DBMS
- Manage and test back-up and recovery plans
- Follow-up DB capacity planning
- Share best practices and be consultative to clients throughout duration of the project.

- ضمان مستويات عالية من الأداء والتوافر والاستدامة والأمن
- تقديم اقتراحات للحلول
- اكتشاف المشكلات بشكل استباقي وإجراء التشخيص لتقديم خدمة عالية الجودة
- القدرة على إجراء تحليل السبب الجذري وتطوير الإجراءات التصحيحية
- ثبت القدرة على إدارة وتحديد أولويات المهام المتعددة
- تحديد وتوثيق الدروس المستفادة بشكل مستمر، والإجراءات الوقائية، والمعرفة التشغيلية لتحسين الخدمات.
- المشاركة في دور تحت الطلب على مدار 24 ساعة طوال أيام الأسبوع لأنشطة الصيانة بعد ساعات العمل أو خلال عطلات نهاية الأسبوع عند الحاجة.
- مواكبة التحديثات والتصحيحات المتعلقة بـ Microsoft SQL DB وإجراء الترقيات اللازمة وفقًا للتوصيات.
- التأكد من أن إجراءات التخزين والأرشفة تعمل بشكل صحيح
- تثبيت وتقييم الإصدارات الجديدة من نظام إدارة قواعد البيانات
- إدارة واختبار خطط النسخ الاحتياطي والاسترداد
- متابعة تخطيط سعة قاعدة البيانات
