We are looking for a creative Senior Video Editor with a passion for story telling to be responsible for
the day-to-day creation of video at I Heart Film Productions. You will work closely with our Creative
Directors and talented videographers and be involved in every aspect of the process, from
brainstorming ideas to scripting scenes and editing footage for a variety of high end clients.
As a Senior Video Editor, your job is not only to coordinate with your co-workers and bring client-
projects to completion, but also to train Junior Video Editors. Working on a variety of projects at any
given time, ranging from short social media clips to long-form documentaries or TV Commercials.
Regardless of their project’s length or scope, senior video editors must ensure that each piece meets the
highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities :
Reviewing footage to ensure that it is of high quality and can be used in the final product
Editing video content to meet specific criteria, including length requirements, format specifications, or branding guidelines
Researching and selecting appropriate music and sound effects to use based on client requests or genre requirements
Organizing footage for easier access and retrieval during editing sessions, including labeling and storing on servers or physical storage devices
Ensuring that all technical details are correct, such as resolution and aspect ratio
Creating graphics or other special effects, such as fades or dissolves, to enhance the visual appeal of a video
Adding titles, subtitles, credits, and other text to a video to explain its content or provide information about actors or topics being discussed
Evaluating existing footage to determine if it meets quality standards before adding it to the video project
Reviewing edits made by other editors to ensure that they meet accuracy and style requirements for the project
Key Qualifications
All prior qualifications, requirements and duties expected of a Senior Video Editor.
At least 12-24 months of Senior Video Editor experience working .
Demonstrated proficiency in video production, particularly Video services.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Products, e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.
Capable of handling multiple, multi-week long video editing projects simultaneously.
An extreme attention to detail — including end-client branding requirements and goals.
The ability to work in both Windows and Apple environments, as required per the project.
