Job Overview:
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanic to join our team. The
successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and repair of our company's
vehicles, ensuring they operate optimally and safely. Additionally, this role involves managing all
documentation related to maintenance and repair activities, requiring strong organizational and coordination skills.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
Oversee the maintenance and repair activities of the company's vehicles.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and efficient resolution of mechanical issues.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them.
Documentation Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vehicle maintenance and repair activities.
Create and manage a comprehensive database of vehicle service history, including parts replacements, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by maintaining thorough documentation of all maintenance procedures.
Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule routine maintenance and inspections.
Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear instructions and guidance on maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of vehicle maintenance.
Develop and enforce protocols to guarantee the reliability and safety of all company vehicles.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Stay informed about industry advancements and new technologies relevant to vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Senior Mechanic or in a similar supervisory role.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using maintenance management software and documentation tools.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
Education and Experience:
Diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
Certification in automotive technology or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in vehicle maintenance, with a track record of progressively
