Civil Laborer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation by clearing debris, digging trenches, and grading land to ensure it is suitable for construction.
2. Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials and tools, ensuring they are safely and efficiently transported around the job site.
3. Demolition: Participate in demolition activities by using hand tools or machinery to break down structures or remove unwanted materials.
4. Concrete Work: Assist in concrete pouring, finishing, and curing by preparing forms, mixing concrete, and assisting with concrete placement.
5. Excavation: Operate heavy equipment like backhoes, excavators, or bulldozers to excavate and grade areas according to project specifications.
6. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on the job site.
7. Traffic Control: Manage traffic on construction sites by directing vehicles and ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
8. Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working condition by cleaning, inspecting, and performing basic maintenance tasks.
9. General Labor: Perform various manual tasks such as carrying materials, digging, shoveling, and assisting with construction activities as required.
10. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, including equipment operators, carpenters, and surveyors, to achieve project goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding manual labor.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and work in a safe manner.
• knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
• Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus
