- Legal Specialist
Legal Specialist – Relocation to Bahrain – Persian Gulf
The Legal Specialist will offer legal advice and support to the regional business entities helping to manage legal risks, support the governance and corporate secretarial functions, and provide commercially relevant legal support and advice.
Provide legal advice and support, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, managing external legal counsel, and helping to ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Set up processes to create efficiencies, automate and standardized tasks, create negotiation manuals and provide MI on legal matters.
Document, update and provide training on legal policies and procedures.
Proactively identify and manage legal risks and supporting the resolution of legal disputes.
Conduct transactional due diligence, draft and review opinions, support litigation proceedings, lead, support the corporate secretarial and governance functions and manage work assigned to external counsel.
Core Competencies
Must be a native English speaker with flawless command of the English language.
Excellent demonstrated English language legal drafting skills.
Must be a (recent) qualified lawyer from a common law background, a minimum of NQ- 2 years PQE.
French and Arabic an asset but not required.
Appropriate knowledge of technology tools.
Experience working in large, listed company or embedded in an in-house legal team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence C-level stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
