JOB DESCRIPTION :
>Managing and leading the engineering, maintenance, and repair of the engineering systems on board sand dredgers and tugboats.
>Monitor, inspect and test the performance of vessels and systems, ensuring they are operating safely and efficiently.
>Ensure vessels are in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
>Design, develop, and implement new or improved engineering systems.
>Prepare technical and operational reports as required.
>Troubleshoot and diagnose engineering problems.
>Oversee or perform planned and preventative maintenance.
>Manage and train crew in engineering operations and maintenance.
>Supervise and coordinate the activities of the engineering team onboard the vessel.
>Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.
>Develop and maintain vessel maintenance plans and conduct surveys and inspections.
>Requisitions, supplies, and materials for maintenance and repair work.
>Develop and maintain vessel operations plans and coordinate vessel operations.
>Provide technical advice to operations and maintenance staff and troubleshoot and investigate vessel issues.
>Monitor and report on vessel performance and maintenance activities.
NOTE: Please note the Candidate Preferably with extensive experience in Maintenance /Repairs/Alterations of sand dredgers, Experienced in guiding a team of Marine Engineers/Supervisors/Fabricators & Workers Liaising with class of approvals,& Dry Docking experience.
