Field Operator II

About the job

Job Summary:

Responsible for executing shutdowns, startups, and daily operations per established procedures and monitoring plant parameters to report abnormalities. Additional duties include performing plant patrols, maintaining logs, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols such as the PTW system and QHSE programs.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform shutdowns and startup operations as per guidelines set by procedures and supervisors

• Pressurize & de-pressurize equipment and pipelines as required

• Monitor plant parameters, report abnormalities, and inform the control room operator if corrective action is necessary

• Respond appropriately to plant emergencies according to ERP procedure

• Patrol the plant area periodically during each shift to inspect all equipment

• Review pressure, delta pressure, temperature, and level gauges of all equipment and report abnormalities to the control room

• Take gauge readings, analyze, and troubleshoot as necessary

• Maintain daily operations logs and provide accurate verbal handovers to the on-coming shift

• Identify potential hazards, take immediate corrective action when possible, and report occurrences to the control room

• Act as an Area Authority for PTW system for isolation for all routine planned and break-down maintenance

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the plant to support production targets. Perform routine operational tasks under supervision, ensuring safety and procedural standards compliance. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain reliable and trouble-free operations.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in operating and monitoring process equipment ensuring compliance with safety standards

• Monitor and record equipment operational parameters, reporting abnormalities to Supervisors or CRO

• Support system start-ups and shutdowns as directed by supervisor

• Support and perform Mechanical and Instrument jobs as directed by supervisor

• Assist in pressurizing and depressurizing equipment and pipelines when required

• Regularly check pressure, delta pressure, temperature, and level gauges, reporting irregularities to CRO

• Follow established O&M instructions and supervisor directions to maintain stable plant operations

• Perform troubleshooting to restart compressors after unexpected shutdowns as instructed

• Participate in training and operational procedure reviews, offering feedback for improvement

• Conduct basic operational and maintenance checks (daily, weekly, monthly) under supervision

• Prepare equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, and decontamination

• Ensure accurate and timely handover of information to the next shift

Job Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Minimum technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent

• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role within Oil & Gas sector

• Familiarity with plant equipment, processes, and ongoing activities

• General troubleshooting, problem-solving, information analysis, and interpersonal skills

• Understanding of Plant PFDs, P&IDs, drawings, Cause & Effect matrix, and Fire & Gas detection system philosophy

• Basic understanding of Maintenance Management System (Work orders, Preventive/Corrective/Predictive Maintenance)

• Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office

• Good English communication skills; Arabic is an asset

Scope:

Perform all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner within operating procedures.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor all process equipment and related maintenance activities

• Monitor operational parameters and routine logging; identify & resolve abnormalities

• Perform shutdown and startup of respective systems as required

• Interact with Control Room Operator regarding operational parameters during regular operations, start-ups, and shutdowns

• Take direction from control room operator and maintain plant stability for optimum production

• Top up oil and cooling systems, monitor online chemical injection systems, and collect samples as required

• Perform/support daily, monthly, and quarterly checks and front-line maintenance

• Prepare equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, decontaminating, and other procedures

• Follow regular daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks per pre-planned schedules

• Perform equipment operation and maintenance functions as required

• Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and company policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines

• إيقاف وتشغيل الأنظمة حسب الحاجة.

• التواصل مع مشغل غرفة التحكم بخصوص معايير التشغيل أثناء العمليات الروتينية وعمليات الإيقاف والتشغيل.

• متابعة تعليمات مشغل غرفة التحكم لضمان استقرار المصنع لتحقيق إنتاج أمثل.

• تعبئة أنظمة الزيت والتبريد، ومراقبة أنظمة حقن المواد الكيميائية وجمع العينات عند الحاجة.

• أداء ودعم الفحوصات اليومية والشهرية والربع سنوية وأعمال الصيانة الأساسية.

• تجهيز المعدات للصيانة بما يشمل العزل والتصريف وإجراءات إزالة التلوث.

• الالتزام بالفحوصات الدورية وفق الجداول المخططة مسبقًا (يوميًا، أسبوعيًا، شهريًا وسنويًا).
