Workshop Supervisor – Bahrain
About the Job:
Sulzer is a leading engineering company looking for a Workshop Supervisor to join the Services_INMEC team in Bahrain. The role provides supervision and support for workshop overhaul, repair, onsite installation, and commissioning services for rotating electrical machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Lead and provide project overviews on rebuilds of rotating electrical machines.
-
Produce and manage standard technical work instructions for machine rebuilds.
-
Support development of workshop tooling and plan for growth in rebuilds.
-
Ensure the team meets all Safety KPIs and participates in Safety Walks.
-
Implement and support HSEQ systems and initiatives.
-
Assist with reports, quotations, and coordination with Service Centre Manager and leading hands.
-
Plan and schedule jobs in coordination with SCM and the wider team.
-
Develop and share best practices for repair of rotating electrical machines.
-
Coach and support the workshop team to improve technical abilities.
-
Solicit parts, manufacturing, service, and diagnostics products to maximize facility utilization.
-
Provide technical support for customers regarding equipment within Work In Progress (WIP).
-
Participate in weekly WIP meetings and update job statuses.
-
Support the deputy Electrical Duty Holder in test bay activities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
-
Tradesperson in Electrotechnology minimum.
-
10+ years technical experience with electrical rotating equipment services.
-
Middle East experience is an advantage.
-
Strong communication and time management skills.
-
Technical background in electric rotating machinery repair (DC and AC, any voltage).
-
Knowledge of mechanical repairs of rotating electrical machines.
-
Experience testing motors up to 11kV, operating test boards, and maintaining safety standards.
-
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
-
Ability to supervise, train, and mentor workshop personnel.
-
Previous supervisory experience required.

تقديم الدعم الفني للعملاء فيما يتعلق بإصلاح المعدات ضمن الأعمال قيد التنفيذ (WIP).
-
المشاركة في الاجتماعات الأسبوعية لمتابعة حالة الأعمال قيد التنفيذ.
-
تقديم الدعم لنائب المسؤول الكهربائي في منطقة اختبار المعدات.
المتطلبات والمؤهلات:
-
حرفي/فني في التكنولوجيا الكهربائية على الأقل.
-
خبرة تقنية 10 سنوات أو أكثر في خدمات المعدات الكهربائية الدوارة.
-
خبرة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط ميزة إضافية.
-
مهارات قوية في التواصل وإدارة الوقت.
-
خلفية فنية في إصلاح الآلات الكهربائية الدوارة، DC و AC، أي فولتية.
-
معرفة بالإصلاحات الميكانيكية للآلات الكهربائية الدوارة.
-
خبرة في اختبار المحركات حتى 11kV، بما في ذلك تشغيل لوحة الاختبار والحفاظ على معايير السلامة المتوقعة في Sulzer.
-
مهارات جيدة في اللغة الإنجليزية تحدثًا وكتابة.
