Fiberglass Laminator
The Fiberglass Laminator will be responsible for preparing, laminating, and finishing fiberglass components used in luxury houseboats and floating structural products. This role requires high precision, strong craftsmanship skills, and strict quality control to ensure that all manufactured fiberglass parts meet durability, strength, and premium quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare molds and materials required for the fiberglass lamination process.
- Perform fiberglass lay-up operations with accurate layering techniques.
- Apply resin coatings with proper thickness and uniform distribution.
- Cut, shape, and smooth fiberglass sheets based on technical specifications.
- Use hand and power tools to trim, sand, and finish laminated components.
- Inspect fiberglass products and repair defects or surface imperfections.
- Ensure production quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals, resins, and composite materials.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet delivery schedules.
- Record material usage and working hours for each project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fiberglass lamination, composite manufacturing, or similar craftsmanship work.
- Ability to read technical specifications and production instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, sanding equipment, and cutting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness.
- Knowledge of safety practices when handling fiberglass and chemical materials.
- Physical ability to perform manual production tasks.
