Electrical / Relay Protection Technician
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Perform electrical field installations of basic complexity.
-
Work under the direction of a site or project lead to carry out the following:
-
Protective relay installation, testing, and troubleshooting
-
Panel and cabinet demolition, installation, and modification
-
Cable routing and assembly (including fiber)
-
Control house integration and assembly
-
Conduit forming and installation
-

Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL Engineering Services processes and products.

Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing principles.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
Basic working knowledge of analog and digital electronics
-
Diploma in Electronics or Electrical field
-
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-line and three-line diagrams

Willingness to obtain SQEW certification within 3 months of joining
-
Willingness to obtain COM-100 certification within 6 months of joining
-
Willing to travel up to 75% of the time
-
Strong writing, documentation, and communication skills

Ability to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Satisfactory background check results

Negative drug test result(s)

Project Engineer II – Automation
Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include applying power system automation concepts, supporting customers, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions using SEL products.
Key Responsibilities
-
Apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of power system automation and related SEL products.
-
Train and assist customers in the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and/or protection systems.
-
Complete assigned work within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards.
-
Participate in preparing functional design specifications.
-
Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and other deliverables.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline
-
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in:
-
Electric power systems and industry practices
-
Automation, integration, and industrial controls
-
PLCs and industry protocols (IEC 61850, DNP, Modbus)
-
Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, and SCADA practices
-

Strong knowledge of power system protection, control, automation, and communications
-
Working knowledge of power system design, studies, ICT, and protective relay applications
-
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (minimum 80%)

Strong writing, documentation, and presentation skills

مهندس مشروع – المستوى الثاني (Project Engineer II – Automation)
المهام الوظيفية:
-
فهم وتطبيق المفاهيم الأساسية لأنظمة أتمتة أنظمة القوى الكهربائية ومنتجات SEL ذات الصلة.
-
تدريب ومساعدة العملاء في تصميم، إعداد، اختبار، تركيب، تشغيل، وربط أنظمة الأتمتة والحماية.
-
تنفيذ الأعمال المكلف بها ضمن النطاق الزمني والميزانية المحددة وبأعلى معايير الجودة والسلامة.
-
المشاركة في إعداد المواصفات الوظيفية للتصميم (Functional Design Specifications).
-
إعداد وتحديث مستندات التصميم التفصيلية، التقارير، قوائم الفحص، تقارير الاختبار، والمخرجات النهائية للمشاريع.
المؤهلات والمتطلبات:
-
بكالوريوس هندسة كهربائية أو تخصص ذي صلة.
-
خبرة من 5 إلى 7 سنوات في أنظمة القوى الكهربائية، الأتمتة، التكامل، أنظمة التحكم الصناعية، PLC، وبروتوكولات الصناعة(IEC 61850، DNP، Modbus)، وأنظمة Ethernet وSCADA.
-
معرفة جيدة بأنظمة الحماية والتحكم الكهربائي والاتصالات والتكامل.
-
معرفة عملية بتصميم أنظمة القوى الكهربائية والدراسات الفنية وتطبيقات مرحلات الحماية.
-
الاستعداد للسفر المحلي والدولي بنسبة لا تقل عن 80% حسب طبيعة العمل.

مهارات ممتازة في التوثيق والكتابة والتواصل.
