Speech Language Pathologist
Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose communication, speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all age groups; conduct bedside and instrumental swallowing assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and medical conditions; deliver evidence-based therapy for communication difficulties (e.g., aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, stuttering, voice disorders) and manage dysphagia
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, therapists, dietitians, psychologists) to ensure comprehensive care; participate in case conferences, family meetings, and care planning
Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, home programs, and communication strategies; support training of nursing staff and caregivers in managing communication and swallowing issues
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes; ensure compliance with Bahrain health regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies
Engage in professional development by staying current with advances in speech-language pathology practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology / Speech Therapy from a recognized university
Valid NHRA license (or eligibility) to practice in Bahrain
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist, preferably in hospital or long-term care settings; experience with adult neurological conditions (stroke, TBI, Parkinson’s, dementia) highly desirable

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care & Support
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a caring and respectful environment
Monitor patients’ conditions, such as taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure)
Report any changes in patient health or behavior promptly to the nursing team
2. Clinical Assistance

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
