Experienced Generator Specialist

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manage, perform, coordinate the management of site activities

Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation

Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment

Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer's sites

Perform administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis

Signs off on all changes implemented.

Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.

Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards

Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintage

Coach, mentor, and train other team members as required, to impart and perpetuate field engineering and/or product knowledge.

Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages

Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site

Perform walk-downs during installation to ensure that the customer’s contractors are working properly.

Perform aftermarket upgrades that need to be performed at the site level.

Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

On Site Services - Machinist

What you'll bring;

Diploma from an accredited university or college or relevant hands-on experience in machining

Proven experience on onsite machining such as operating boring bar, lathe, milling machines etc.

Able to communicate, understand/read drawings and technical work instructions in English.

Ability to work according to a time schedule and meet deadlines accordingly.

Willing to train other persons according to the requirements (OJT).

Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and work in a team of Onsite Service Crew.

Work effectively with minimal direction and supervision.

Willingness and ability to travel for work globally on short notice and for extended periods of time, including weekends and holidays. 

This position requires 100% travel both domestically and globally. 

Project Engineering Manager with verification

What you’ll do;

Serves as the technical leader/manager in the ITR engineering organization to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.

Represent the technical focal point in projects thru coordination and planning all aspects of assessing, proposing, and technical execution of projects by leveraging the regional and global teams.

Supports manufacturing plants, including GESAT in Saudi Arabia, as a technical resource in engineering issue resolution.

Experienced in combined-cycle power plants and aware of decarbonization technologies. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in this area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Solutions Architect - GridBeats

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or Communications or a related field.

10+ years of experience in utility grid operations, Substation Automation, smart grid technologies, or related domains.

Strong background as a Solution Architect or Application Engineer for large-scale grid modernization projects.

Deep understanding of digital substations, IEC standards & protocols, transmission & Distribution automation segment & solutions, Virtualization and predictive analytics.

Knowledge and expertise in power management systems, load shedding / islanding schemes, distribution automation, microgrids and special protection schemes and/or remedial action schemes for grids and plants
