SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is a member of the Civil Infrastructure business. This role requires a professional with proven technical leadership and management abilities for both projects and people. The SPM collaborates with Project Managers, Project Directors, and the Civil Infrastructure Director of MEA, providing strong direction and ownership of project design delivery, including team management.
The SPM must have proven skills in at least one technical field, experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, and preferably a background in infrastructure development projects in the Middle East, including work on at least 3 major projects. Responsibilities include reviewing project design standards, considering client requirements, managing finances, and coordinating internal and external design resources.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the project team to complete design work in accordance with budget, quality, and timelines.

Undertake full responsibility for project delivery and integrate project management elements throughout the project life cycle.

Identify and exploit opportunities as they arise during the project life cycle.

Manage contracts and proactively address changes.

Build and develop client relationships, seeking opportunities for repeat business or new projects.

Receive and act upon client feedback.

Mentor and provide leadership to junior staff.

Manage a technical group of project managers, planners, and design disciplines on AECOM Civil Infrastructure projects, collaborating as part of the broader team.
Qualifications & Experience:

Proven history of technical leadership and management of multidisciplinary projects.

Broad experience in infrastructure development projects, preferably in the Middle East.

Experience delivering at least 3 major projects.

Strong ability to review project design standards and approaches.

Financial management experience and ability to coordinate internal and external design resources.

Leadership and mentoring skills for junior staff.
