Head of Engineering - Mobile
High-level job role:
You will be responsible for architecting and building the next-generation mass market trading and investment application. The proposed mobile application targets traders and investors and features low-latency data and trading with the highest level of user experience.
· Overall engineering responsibility for mobile software - from designing to running UI applications, including any mobile platform services to support the mobile application.
· Lead, build and manage mobile teams focusing on native iOS and Android development.
· Work closely with other Heads of Engineering and their teams to ensure effective integration with trading and market data systems.
· Work closely with the Head of Platform Engineering to actively contribute to the platform and consume existing platform services.
· Drive an engineering culture with a relentless focus on automation and continuous improvement.
· Member of the senior engineering leadership team, providing architectural direction and guidance to the engineering group.
You are responsible for:
· Architecting and developing our next generation trading and investment mobile application that will have the potential for mass adaptation by millions of users.
· Defining and executing the product and engineering roadmaps with a particular focus on delivering value-based product features, automation, operational efficiency, software quality, and solution scalability.
· Defining team-level OKRs to drive engineering goals and roadmaps.
· End-to-end quality, including quality of analysis, code quality, and product quality.
· Maintaining high levels of application security.
· Automation. This includes Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Config as Code (CaC) and test automation.
· Taking collective ownership, with the operational teams, of continuously improving the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the mobile application and mobile platform services, essentially fostering an engineering culture of “you built it, you run it”
