Job description
Leading highway/road design teams, managing design activities and technical delivery of complex schemes, including alignment (rural and urban), drainage, pavement, earthworks and safety barriers. Should have in-depth knowledge of international highway/road design standards, best practices, and contract documentation, as well as excellent relationship-building skills:
• To manage and supervise the different contributors to the project to ensure that the project's goals are met;
• Design and Supervision of the Highway/Road Design Works;
• Responsible for managing a large team of engineers and technicians, design delivery, stakeholder management, risk management, and interfaces;
• Liaise with the client to ensure approval of the project, including approval by the municipality and utilities.
• Managing the day-to-day activities of firms' engineering highway/road design projects and resources
• Assuring that the organization is managed and performed efficiently and effectively.
• Ensures that the internal structure is coordinated according to the company's policies and objectives.
• Multi-project management responsibilities in the highways/road sector.
• Coordinates project plans with clients to define projects and budgets, manages the schedule, cost, change, and risk during the project lifecycle, and is responsible for managing the overall project implementation and ensuring quality of deliverables.
