Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team and lead the cloud architecture efforts of CBT. This is a Senior-level position, requiring the incumbent to take responsibility of designing, documenting, configuring, and maintaining cloud architectures and deployments of our solutions within public and private clouds of our customer’s premises. This is not just a cloud infrastructure position, but it also requires the candidate to have good application knowledge, and over time become an expert in our product stack.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and architecting cloud-based solutions that meet the business requirements of an organization. This includes developing architecture diagrams, selecting appropriate cloud services and components, and ensuring that the solution is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Responsible of the cloud design from a networking, security, compute/storage and application perspectives.
- Responsible for participating in customer workshops, leading the cloud infrastructure and solution deployment discussion, and proposing target architectures
- Understand how each of the Codebase components works and their runtime requirements.
- Ensure that cloud-based solutions are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. This includes implementing appropriate security measures and monitoring for potential security breaches and ensure that data privacy and compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure seamless coordination with the devops team to guarantee automated deployment of applications in the cloud deployments.
- Responsible for evaluating new cloud technologies and services to determine their potential value to the organization.
- Responsible for growing the cloud solution architecture team by hiring, train and mentoring junior/mid-level resources to grow the practice (long term goal)
