Summary
You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management in the Department of the Navy, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Fleet Logistics Center, Bahrain (FLCB). Relocation and recruitment incentives up to 25% may be authorized. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyze system and equipment performance data to resolve technical or procedural deficiencies; 2) Plan the implementation of logistics management operations to ensure timely logistics support for ships, shipboard systems and equipment; 3) Assign work to logistics management specialists based on priorities, consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and the employee's capabilities to accomplish assignments; and 4) Analyzing difficult problems involving supply chain management, material acquisition, supply requisition procedures, and manpower management to resolve complex issues. Physical Demands: The work is partially sedentary however you must be able to travel utilizing military and/or commercial aircraft to assigned units at various locations throughout US Fifth Fleet Area of Responsibility. You will perform assigned duties in adverse weather. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with attendance at meeting and conferences, or while researching files. Additionally, you must have the physical ability to climb and descend ship brows, ladders and other structure as required. You may be subject to occasional travel of up to 25%. This may require walking, bending and climbing during visits to various Navy and commercial installations. During the course of this travel, industrial facilities may be visited or toured. Work Environment: Majority of the work will be performed is an office area with adequate lighting, heating and air conditioning. Visits to various warehouses, local DLA Activities, FLC or other local activities will be required and you will be required to have/gain access to those activities. Some work will be performed at piers, berths or onboard Naval or Coast Guard ships. Some work will be performed at expeditionary locations which may involve extreme temperatures, shared accommodations and rustic structures. The Office of the Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) limits the number of Bahrain based DoD personnel accompanied tours. Dependent entry approval from Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is required for all accompanied tours prior to extending the final job offer and prior to issuing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. Accompanied tours are not guaranteed.
