Job description
We are looking for a Legal and Compliance Executive who will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies. The Legal and Compliance Executive ensures that the company stays abreast of regulatory standards and that compliance processes are fully implemented.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Reviewing applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with these
Maintaining and reviewing all contracts and agreements
Reviewing and advising on all documentation that has legal implications for the company
Ensuring that all regulatory permits are current and appropriate for business needs
Liaising with regulatory bodies and maintaining relationships with relevant legal bodies and trade associations
Handling other internal/external legal matters
Administering and maintaining a database of legal documents and agreements
Drafting policies and procedures related to legal function
The Legal and Compliance Executive will be someone who can work with limited supervision and who keeps abreast of regulatory developments and industry initiatives. The Legal and Compliance Executive must be a proactive team player and ready to help in a variety of areas highlighted above as well as new areas that may emerge.
Desired Skills and Experience
We seek a motivated, efficient and detail orientated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate should have the following skills and characteristics:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in law or any related field
· Expected 2 to 4 years of experience in a relevant role
Bi-lingual (English and Arabic)
Exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Committed to maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines under pressure
High problem solving and analytical skills
