Meteorologist
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Meteorologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting meteorological data to inform trading decisions, as well as developing and implementing data science techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our weather forecasting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Produce and deliver weather forecasts across LDCs business units by monitoring observations and evaluating weather model guidance
Deliver short-term to long-term weather views for use in fundamental analysis techniques to support trading and asset optimization decisions
Understand the fundamentals drivers related to agriculture that can be influenced by weather inputs
Develop and improve weather-derived models to be used as inputs for price modeling
Generate timely and informative weather impact alerts during active hazardous weather events around the world
Monitor and back-test weather forecasts from internal and external providers
Quality control the integrity of forecast products and isolate and resolve issues impacting forecast product creation or distribution
Work closely with short and mid-term agri-commodity analysts in market view development
Develop an industry understanding of the impact of weather forecasts on LDC commercial operations
Develop new products and tools to improve trading-making decisions

Data Analytics Manager, Trading Flows
Responsibilities:
Owner of data management solutions for the trading balance sheet to analyze physical trading flows worldwide, crop conditions solutions to manage the most relevant data products highly relevant for crop analysis and estimates, crop tours solutions to facilitate data collection, storing, and processing during crop fields analysis
Data and Analytics inspiring lead and trusted subject matter expert for Data Solutions and Products in the Trading Balance Sheet and Crop Conditions space
End-to-end project management to ensure delivery efficiency and predictability: scope and quality management, resource management, budget management, issue management, stakeholder management
Owner of the Data Solutions products roadmaps, backlogs and responsible for the successful achievement of the planned business outcomes defined during the products’ value proposition formalization making sure all stakeholders' feedback has been incorporated and refined accordingly
Owner of the data products managed and generated by the corresponding data solutions, making each data product deployable, versioned, supported, and monitored
Responsible to document each data product to guarantee its successful democratization and delighting self-serve analytics users’ experience
Single Point of Contact/proxy between customers and domain team for all the data solutions related needs and/or requirements within the Trading Balance Sheet and Crop Conditions domain, representing the domain, solving questions and providing any sort of clarifications raised by any stakeholder throughout the development lifecycle
Set comprehensive acceptance criteria for the deliverables, taking into consideration the business context and non-functional requirements, creating the formal definition of “done”, and participating in team events to validate quality and provide feedback
Work collaboratively with other domains, pillars, or business areas, acting as a subject matter expert for your domain, supporting them in leveraging the available Data Solutions/Products capabilities, and addressing the risks, impediments, and inter-domain dependencies that might undermine the delivery of the defined products roadmaps
Manage relationships with vendors’ resources and ensure to get expected performance from them
