Civil Draftsman
Job Description
Drafts layouts, plans including sections & elevations using computer aided-software.
Assists in computation of quantities for cost estimates.
Prepare layouts that are drawn to scale.
Prepares reports, maps, drawings, and plans, sharing with the civil engineering team.
Conducts field surveys and provide accurate, reliable data for use in design activities and make as-built drawings.
Creates the initial drawings of plans, developing the same as the project moves along.
Maintains communication with the construction team ensuring that the project is built accurately and reflects the intentions of the drafted plans and drawings.
Preparation of all shop/ as-built/ construction drawings as directed by the respective engineer/ manager.
Performs ad-hoc duties at the instruction of the Manager.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred.
Must have AutoCAD certification and hands-on experience in the same.
Must have 7-10 years’ or more experience in drafting and using software within the Construction Industry or Similar environment.
Good knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel
Must be a team player.
Skill in both verbal and written communication.
