Infection Control Nurse
Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop, implement, and monitor the hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program
-
Conduct regular infection surveillance, audits, and risk assessments
-
Monitor healthcare-associated infections and prepare reports with recommendations
-
Ensure compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning standards
-
Provide infection control education and training to nursing, clinical, and support staff
-
Participate in outbreak investigation, management, and reporting
-
Review and update infection control policies and procedures in line with MOH Bahrain guidelines, NHRA, and international standards
-
Collaborate with nursing leadership, quality, and facilities teams to improve infection control practices
Requirements:

Nursing qualification with relevant infection control training or certification
-
Experience in hospital infection prevention and control
-
Knowledge of MOH Bahrain, NHRA, and international IPC guidelines
-
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills

المهام الوظيفية:

تطوير وتنفيذ ومراقبة برنامج الوقاية ومكافحة العدوى بالمستشفى.
-
إجراء المراقبة الدورية للعدوى، التدقيقات، وتقييمات المخاطر.
-
متابعة العدوى المرتبطة بالرعاية الصحية وإعداد تقارير مع توصيات.
-
ضمان الالتزام بمعايير غسل اليدين، استخدام معدات الحماية الشخصية، احتياطات العزل، ومعايير التنظيف البيئي.
-
تقديم التعليم والتدريب حول مكافحة العدوى لموظفي التمريض، الفرق السريرية، وفرق الدعم.
-
المشاركة في التحقيقات وإدارة وتقديم تقارير عن تفشي العدوى.
-
مراجعة وتحديث سياسات وإجراءات مكافحة العدوى بما يتماشى مع إرشادات وزارة الصحة البحرين، الهيئة الوطنية لتنظيم المهن الصحية (NHRA)، والمعايير الدولية.
-
التعاون مع القيادة التمريضية، فرق الجودة، وفرق المرافق لتحسين ممارسات مكافحة العدوى.
