About the job
At Matter Labs, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to focus on Blockchain Integrations, driving the adoption of blockchain technologies in real-world applications. This role combines deep engineering expertise with excellent interpersonal skills, and plays a crucial part in our strategy to onboard the next billion users.
If you are passionate about building innovative, scalable Web3 applications and have experience designing world-class systems, we would love to hear from you! This is a fully remote position.
What You'll Be Doing
- Be a goal-oriented developer, diving deeply into our codebase to solve problems spanning our smart contracts to our core node.
- Conduct independent research in your area of ownership, design, implement, and document partner-oriented solutions to our core technology.
- Combine excellent engineering skills with great interpersonal skills to onboard the largest companies in both Web3 and Web2.
- Collaborate closely with core engineers, product teams, business units, and external development entities to drive change.
- Develop a strong understanding of the value zkSync brings to the world, supported by true mastery of the technology.
- Help partners dive into the ZK Stack and design their products.
- Work with DeFi Blue Chips to help them deploy on zkSync Era.
What We Look For In You
- 3+ years in backend software development with a deep understanding of software engineering best practices and architectures.
- Experience in Web3 and a track record of success.
- A passion for our mission to advance personal freedom for all.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ownership mindset.
- An understanding of Merkle Trees.
- Excellent understanding of Ethereum.
- Ability to thrive working solo on complex problems and collaborating with partners.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Extra points: Understanding of the EVM, experience with development tools, experience building protocols, and experience with Rust.
