A. Responsibilities
• Preparation, implementation, and continual improvement of Project quality plan with associated work procedures.
• Preparation and implementation of ITP for the project delivering process.
• Responsible to manage and control the project submittals such as Method statement, Sub-contractors’ approval, Material submittals, document submittal etc.
• Review of construction materials compliance with project requirements.
• Review of Method statement.
• Control the inspection processes such as work inspection, material inspection etc.
• Coordinate with third party testing laboratory.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors’ quality control function.
• Monitoring of project quality KPIs and reporting of project quality performance.
• Control of non-conforming outputs.
• Participating in quality incident & failure investigations (RCAs/causal learning).
• Maintain the project quality lesson learned register.
• Support for project internal QMS audit.
• Project handover documents preparation.
• Support for project handover process.
• Responsible for quality processes and practices (global processes and best practices). This includes guidance in the implementation of the requirements defined withing the project documents.
• Support development and implementation of Project Quality Management Systems.
• Provision of QA/QC training (for quality people as well as project managers and project engineers).
• Provide quality input to project plans, risk register, and technical specifications.
• Support the Project Quality Management Review.
• Support the Project Assessment programs - owner of the process / continuous improvement and available for conducting the assessments.
• Support the quality requirements in contracts and tendering process. This includes conducting evaluation and assessment of quality elements, clarification with bidders and on-site evaluation, preparation of Technical proposal such specific work plan, project quality plan, work procedures with ITP (if required).
• Developing and improving quality culture over the project team.
B. Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Registered with Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professionals (CRPEP) at least grade-B.
• Minimum 10 -15 years of experience in the multistory residential buildings having worked in Bahrain and /or the Middle East and other locations.
• Experience in green building construction requirements.
• Experience in fit-out works.
• Strong knowledge in the construction materials/works such as concrete, Asphalt, masonry blocks, tiles, dry wall partitions, waterproofing, overarching knowledge in MEP works, combo roofing, Building metal works, steel structures, Building Expansion joints, mass concrete pour planning, piling etc.
• Strong knowledge in building envelops such as Aluminum Fa?ade, glazing, GRC panels etc.
• Strong knowledge In local authorities’ requirements (The Kingdom of Bahrain) for residential buildings projects including the service connections.
• Previous experience in “Ministry of Housing Bahrain” projects.
• ISO 9001:2015 QMS lead Auditor certification will be preferred.
• ASQ-CQE Certification will be preferred.
