The position supports the OCONUS Piers component of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport programme. The programme provides information-technology and network services that connect vessels to shore-based networks while they are in port.

The role also supports the overseas Navy enterprise-network environment and may include additional field-services duties as regional network services converge.

Role Summary | ملخص الوظيفة

The ISP/OSP Specialist will maintain fibre-optic cables and related connection equipment used at assigned port locations in the Middle East region.

The selected specialist will provide connection and disconnection services when vessels arrive at or depart from port. The role also includes testing, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing Umbilical Cable Assemblies and documenting all shift activities in approved reporting and ticketing systems.

• United States citizenship is required for this position.
• An active Secret security clearance is required.
• NAVSEA certification or an accepted fibre-cabling certification is required.
• Relevant certifications may include BICSI Level 2, ETA FOI or FOT, or FOA CFOT.
• The candidate must be able to obtain an IAT Level II certification.
• IAT Level II examples include Security+ or another accepted certification.
• Relevant network certifications are advantageous.
• Examples may include CCNA, Network+, or JNCIA.
