Overview
Oversees a freight terminal responsible for arranging transportation for all issue transactions. Fully knowledgeable in all Government and Commercial Traffic Management functions and processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee a freight terminal responsible for arranging transportation for all issue transactions.
- Fully knowledgeable in all Government and Commercial Traffic Management functions and processes.
- Direct employees engaged in planning outbound shipping loads and scheduling movement of outbound shipments including air, surface, small parcel, and sea, in accordance with applicable contracts, DFTS, and SDDC Global Freight Management (GFM) system applications.
- Complete required documentation and data entry functions, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), manifests, and all other transportation documentation.

Manages quality program planning, evaluation, identification and resolution of quality issues, and provides technical advisory services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate systems and analyze data.
- Establish Quality Control procedures.
- Use Warehouse Management System (WMS), Distribution Standard System (DSS), Query Management Facility (QMF), and QLIK.
- Validate processes and ensure work is performed in accordance with DLA Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere to all audits readiness and internal controls.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Quality Control Technicians and Specialists.
- Ensure the area of responsibility operates in compliance with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals for day-to-day operations and audit readiness.
- Responsible for compliance with the Audit Assertion Program, including monthly assertion reporting and corrective action documentation.
- Responsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of Quality Control and Customer Service.
