Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of practical design experience in mechanical design of water infrastructure, pump stations, and pressurized networks.
- Proven experience with pump selection and hydraulic design for potable water, fire-fighting, and wastewater/TSE systems.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic/network modeling software such as WaterGEMS.
- Experience in surge/transient analysis for pressurized systems using industry-standard tools (e.g., Bentley HAMMER) and ability to interpret results and recommend appropriate mitigation.
- Strong knowledge of design standards and codes.
- Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and familiarity with BIM workflows is preferred.
- Solid technical writing skills and experience producing design reports and specifications.
- Good project management skills including time management, prioritization, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
Design Engineer - Wet Utilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of practical design experience in wet utilities engineering.
- Proven experience using WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS for hydraulic modelling of gravity and pressurized networks.
- Strong knowledge of design standards and codes.
- Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and familiarity with BIM workflows is preferred.
- Solid technical writing skills and experience producing design reports and specifications.
