Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all cash transactions with customers on behalf of the Company.
- Receive payments by cash, cheques, and issue receipts at all times.
- Ensure all equipment is kept properly.
- Maintain monthly, weekly, and daily reports of transactions.
- Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.
- Sort, count, wrap currency, and balance cash drawer at the end of the workday.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Keep records of amounts received and paid, and regularly check the cash against the record.
- Ensure customers are promptly attended to and reduce waiting periods in the queue.
- Collate records of cash payments in readiness for disbursement.
- Carry out balance takings against registered records.
