Job Title: Accountant

Job Purpose:
The Accountant will assist the Finance Manager/Assistant Accountant and supervise the accounting staff in the timely and accurate execution of daily accounting processes, such as accounts payable and receivables, financial closing & consolidations, maintaining the chart of accounts, processing payroll, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements on time
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Education and Qualifications:

• Graduate qualification in finance or accounting
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus

Experience:

• 2-5 years of work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like Navision and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including V lookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree

Salary Package:
BD 350 + Food Allowance
