We are looking for an experienced and innovative baker to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of baking techniques, a meticulous approach to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining our high standards of quality.
Prepare, produce, and bake a variety of artisan breads, ensuring each loaf meets our high standards of quality and consistency.
Craft an array of pastries, including breakfast items and desserts, using traditional techniques and innovative approaches.
Innovate and develop new recipes for a la carte offerings and rotating menu items.
Decorate baked goods with precision, including the use of pastry bags for cakes and pastries.
Set and adjust time and speed controls for mixing or blending machines, ensuring ingredients are mixed or cooked accurately. Measure and weigh ingredients precisely.
Prepare and apply garnishes to various baked goods as needed.
Maintain an adequate supply of prepared products, ensuring proper storage and refrigeration.
Minimize waste through efficient ordering and product rotation.
Adhere to allergen control procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure customer safety.
Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek ways to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following hygiene and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef
Expertise in bread making and pastry creation.
In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, principles, and allergen management.
Proficiency in operating bakery equipment and maintaining safety standards.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
