Key Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify potential risks and impacts associated with energy and oil & gas operations.
Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMP) to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
Monitor and evaluate environmental performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams on environmental best practices, waste management, and pollution prevention measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain permits, approvals, and ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Stay informed about emerging environmental regulations, technologies, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in environmental management within the energy or oil & gas sector, with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
Knowledge of environmental impact assessment (EIA) processes, environmental auditing, and sustainability practices.
