Lifting Equipment Inspector
About the job
We are currently recruiting a "Senior Inspection Engineer - Lifting Equipment" to join our operations in Bahrain.
Job Purpose
Accountable for the safe lifting equipment operations in Bahrain.
Key Accountabilities:
The Inspection Engineer will be appointed as the Technical Authority for all offshore and onshore lifting equipment. This includes cranes (pedestal, king post, rental and overhead type and all other mechanical handling aids.
Point of contact for technical design queries and for coordinating access to further specialist engineering advice as and when required.
Supporting inspection, maintenance, defects and troubleshooting as required.
Regular review of third-party company's Lifting Operations Standards and update as required.
Build and maintain excellent client and vendor relationships and ensure that all service standards are met.
Identify any possible lifting equipment improvement opportunities and advise on the realization and implementation of those opportunities.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Structural Engineering / or in a relevant discipline.
Experience Profile:
Minimum 5 years' experience of supporting crane operations and lifting equipment care with a third party inspection company.
Experience with offshore pedestal cranes is desirable.
3 or more LEEA certificates are required.
