Legal Specialist
Accountabilities:
Provide legal advice and support, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, managing external legal counsel, and helping to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Document, update and provide training on legal policies and procedures.
Conduct transactional due diligence, draft and review opinions, support litigation proceedings, lead and support as needed the corporate secretarial and governance functions and manage work assigned to external counsel.
Stay current on legal developments and trends in the Middle East region, and provide guidance on potential legal implications.
Competencies
- Must be a qualified lawyer from a common law background, a minimum of NQ- 5 years PQE.
- Must be a native English speaker.
- Appropriate knowledge of technology tools.
- Experience working in a large listed company or embedded in an in-house legal team.
