International Tax Advisor – Manager

Location: Manama, Bahrain

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) practice as a Manager, advising clients on regional and international tax implications of their operations, in line with relevant tax codes and jurisdictions. This is an advisory-focused role specializing in international tax matters including, but not limited to:

• Permanent establishment

• Double taxation

• Cross-border treaties

• Tax structuring

• Corporate tax impact assessments

• Withholding tax

• Other relevant international tax matters

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding international tax engagements, ensuring technical and practical excellence to maximize client service quality.

• Manage leads and opportunities from other areas of the tax practice and the wider EY network, and support others in doing the same.

• Contribute to the development of the practice through initiatives such as:

  • Delivering internal training

  • Developing precedents and sharing know-how

  • Participating in team and firm events

  • Giving internal and external presentations

  • Producing expert articles for publications

Indirect Tax Assistant Manager – Bahrain

Qualifications:

• Degree in economics, finance, tax, or accounting

• Relevant Masters degree, CPA, ACA/CA/CPA/CMA/SOCPA/Law qualification, CTA, or equivalent tax qualification

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional

• Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred; candidates from law firms or with relevant industry experience will also be considered

• Customs duty advisory experience is preferable; VAT/GST advisory experience also acceptable

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

• Experience working in multicultural teams

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational, project management, and analytical skills

• Strong professional drive, with the ability to guide and motivate others

• Coordination and prioritization skills

• Ability to manage own workload independently and work under pressure while juggling multiple tasks

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

مساعد مدير الضرائب غير المباشرة - البحرين (Indirect Tax Assistant Manager)

المؤهلات المطلوبة للوظيفة:

• شهادة جامعية في الاقتصاد، المالية، الضرائب أو المحاسبة

• شهادة ماجستير ذات صلة، أو CPA، أو ACA/CA/CPA/CMA/SOCPA/قانون، أو CTA أو أي مؤهل ضريبي مكافئ

• خبرة لا تقل عن 4 سنوات كمتخصص في الضرائب غير المباشرة

• خبرة في العمل لدى إحدى شركات المحاسبة الأربع الكبرى (Big 4) مفضلة، ولكن سيتم النظر في المرشحين من مكاتب المحاماة أو ذوي الخبرة الصناعية ذات الصلة

• خبرة في استشارات الرسوم الجمركية مفضلة، كما سيتم النظر في المرشحين ذوي خبرة في استشارات ضريبة القيمة المضافة VAT / GST

المهارات والخبرات الإضافية المفضلة:

• خبرة في العمل ضمن فرق متعددة الثقافات

• مهارات تواصل قوية شفهياً وكتابياً

• مهارات تنظيمية، إدارة مشاريع وتحليلية قوية

• الرغبة القوية في التميز المهني وقدرة على توجيه وتحفيز الآخرين
